Abu Dhabi in four chapters: the first fort, the Louvre, the Grand Mosque and Masdar City.
This is the tour to take if you have one day in the capital. It begins at Qasr Al Hosn, the watchtower from the 1760s that Abu Dhabi grew around, and crosses to Saadiyat for the Louvre Abu Dhabi under its floating dome. Then comes the white marble of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and the day ends in Masdar City, the low-carbon district that borrowed its wind tower from the old town. Four places, three centuries, and one guide who connects them.
