Seven Emirates Experience
All seven emirates in one long day, from the capital to the Gulf of Oman and back.
This is the whole country in a single day, and it is a long one: we leave Abu Dhabi at eight and are back in the evening, after about eight hours on the road between seven emirates. In Dubai you stand at Union House, where the federation was declared on 2 December 1971. In Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain you walk through the forts that once guarded their harbours, and in Ras Al Khaimah you visit the old ruler's fort that is now the National Museum. The road then crosses the Hajar Mountains to Fujairah Fort on the east coast before turning home, and your guide fills the drives with the story of how seven sheikhdoms became one country.
